CALL OF DUTY

We are unworthy servants;
we have only done what was our duty.
Luke 17:10

"Will any one of you, who has a servant plowing or keeping sheep, say to him when he has come in from the field, `Come at once and sit down at table'? Will he not rather say to him, `Prepare supper for me, and gird yourself and serve me, till I eat and drink; and afterward you shall eat and drink'? Does he thank the servant because he did what was commanded?

So you also, when you have done all that is commanded you, say, `We are unworthy servants; we have only done what was our duty.'" -- Luke 17:7-10

Lord, we are unworthy servants; we have only done what was our duty. It is our duty to serve you all the days of our lives because our very existence depends upon your grace. Be merciful to us in times when we forget that we can not possibly live without you. You are the sole provider of all the things we need in order to survive. No amount of service can ever repay all the good works that you continue to do for us each day. Thank you so much Lord for all the things you have commanded us to do for in doing so, we are the ones benefited. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.
