Servant Friend

Friend
Jesus entered a village where a woman whose name was Martha welcomed him. She had a sister named Mary who sat beside the Lord at his feet listening to him speak. (Lk 10:38-39)

Servant
Martha, burdened with much serving, came to him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me by myself to do the serving? Tell her to help me.” (Lk 10:40)

Servant Friend
The Lord said to her in reply, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and worried about many things. There is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part and it will not be taken from her.” (Lk 10:41-42)

Service and Friendship with the Lord completes a man of God. These are parts that makes up his entire being and he will never be complete if he lacks either one of them. Although they go hand in hand, the Lord Himself said that the better part is to be still and listen to Him. This is the only one thing we need. His love and friendship will bring you to serve Him with joy.

Prophetic Revelation

In his life repaired the house, and in his time fortified the temple. -- Sirach 50:1

I come to Serve . . .

"The Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45)

Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men (Philippians 2:5-7).

"Go home to your friends, and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you" (Mark 5:19).
